Meet Solly

This is Solomon (or as Jared affectionately calls him...Solly). This is Jared's dog from before we got married. I think one of his ex-girlfriends gave it to him, but we won't dwell on that fact :) Solomon is a basset hound who lives on the family farm back in East Tennessee. Jared has asked me on many occasions if we could bring Solly to live with us. The answer has always been an absolute NO! The main reason being that he's lived his whole life roaming freely on the farm. What kind of life would it be for us to chain him up in our backyard? I am also not a huge fan of the gallons of slobber that he seems to hide in his droopy cheeks and then emits in a huge spray right when you are about to get in the car to go somewhere--Not cool! But the truth is, he's a pretty sweet boy and Jared's parents are lucky to have him.

Jared took this picture last time we were at his parents' house. It's a pretty cute picture and he begged me to put it on the blog. So, this one's for you baby (and you too Solly)!
